CHARLESTON — A former employee is suing Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon of West Virginia and his supervisor for age discrimination.
Roy Walls began his employment at Lone Star in December 1999 as a kitchen and bar manager, according to a complaint filed May 20 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
On May 28, 2008, Walls claims Arne Lahlum and Lone Star requested and/or required him to submit to a lie detector test.
On Aug. 24, 2009, Walls claims he was discharged from his employment because of his age and did not receive his final wages until Sept. 1, 2009.
The defendants’ actions were willful and malicious and violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act, according to the suit.
Walls is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is being represented by Todd S. Bailess.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
