HUNTINGTON — A Cabell County couple is suing a man they claim made sexual advances on their children.
On June 16, 2008, Daniel Lee Henry, who lived near John Crump and Sheri Crump, was watching the Crumps two children, XC and YC, and took them on four-wheeler rides, according to a complaint filed June 17 in Cabell Circuit Court.
The Crumps claim Henry negligently made inappropriate sexual advances upon XC and “improperly touched the child and required XC to engage in lewd and immoral behavior.”
The acts continued through June 18, 2008, and on at least one occasion, YC was present and witnessed the behavior, according to the suit.
Henry breached his duty of due care to act as a responsible adult while int he presence of children, according to the suit.
The Crumps claim their children suffered physical injuries and mental anguish and have incurred medical expenses for treatment, medicine and counseling.
The Crumps are seeking compensatory and punitive damages. They are being represented by Jennifer Narog Taylor.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David M. Pancake.
