CHARLESTON — A former employee is suing Nitro Electric Company after he claims he was fired because of his disability.
From May 17 until May 27, Larry A. Ranson was employed by the defendant, according to a complaint filed Oct. 1 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Ranson claims the defendant discharged him for his disability, which is in violation of the West Virginia Act.
At all times during Ranson’s employment he “properly performed the job duties as required by the defendant,” according to the suit.
Ranson is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is being represented by J. Michael Ranson, Cynthia M. Ranson and George B. Morrone III.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Tod J. Kaufman.
