CHARLESTON – Yeager Airport and Triad Engineering have entered into a settlement in a lawsuit involving the 2015 landslide and hill collapse. The partial settlement was for $900,000, according to Yeager’s Resolution Committee. The settlement releases the officers and their company assets from any claims that the airport has against them.
CHARLESTON – The Charleston Police Department has filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit against its officers for excessive force. Attorneys Paul Ellis and Michael Mullens are representing two unidentified Charleston police officers who were accused of excessive force and racial profiling of a 15-year-old and his young cousin in February. The attorneys filed the motion to dismiss on June 30 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
A property owner is suing Reserve Oil & Gas Inc., a pipeline operator, for allegedly trespassing on his property.
The City of Charleston is suing Fog Inc., Hanan Ghannam and Mouafak Ghannam, citing alleged violation of federal law.
