    WHEELING – A Brooke County man is suing Ball Corporation after he claims he sustained injuries to his hand during his employment. Ball Metal Food Container LLC; Coil Systems of Illinois Inc.; Littell LLC; Littell Sales & Marketing Inc.; and 1211 Tower Road Inc. were also named as defendants in the suit. Randy Urso was a coil line operator for Ball and worked in its Weirton facility, according to a complaint filed Nov. 16 in the U.S.

    WHEELING – A federal judge has ruled that U.S. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy will be deposed in a lawsuit about coal mining regulations despite a bid by the agency to block it. On Nov. 12, Judge John Preston Bailey ruled that McCarthy’s involvement with Clean Air Act regulations means she is relevant enough to be deposed.

Plaintiff Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc. contends that defendant Mylan submitted Abbreviated New Drug Applications, or ANDAs, to the Food and Drug Administration seeking the approval to make and sell generic versions of Boehringer’s Tradjenta and Jentadueto tablets.     WHEELING - A woman is suing Verizon Wireless after she claims it violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act. Ashley Stender was employed by Verizon and worked for the defendant until her employment was terminated on Oct. 1, according to a complaint originally filed in Ohio Circuit Court and removed to federal court. Stender claims the defendant did not pay all owed wages to her until Oct. 17 and Oct. 31.
