PERSONNEL FILE: Robert Rodecker joins Kay Casto & Chaney

CHARLESTON -- Kay Casto & Chaney has announced that Robert R. Rodecker has joined its Charleston office.

“We are excited and pleased to have Bob join us,” managing member Michael T. Chaney said. “His knowledge and experience are an asset for our entire firm. Having him here continues our growth and the expansion of the legal services that we provide.”

Rodecker previously served as a staff attorney for the Appalachian Research and Defense Fund Inc. and later for the Public Service Commission of West Virginia. He served as the Commission’s General Counsel from 1978 to 1984. Subsequently, he practiced as a partner in the firms of McDonald, Rodecker & Rodecker and McDonald & Rodecker. Most recently, he has been a solo practitioner with primary emphasis on representing clients before the Public Service Commission.

He is admitted to practice before the state courts in New York and West Virginia and in the U.S. District Courts for both the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia. He also is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States as well as the United States Courts Of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Circuits.

Rodecker received his bachelor’s and JD degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Following law school, he received a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health.
