Bell Law Firm opens office in Colorado

CHARLESTON - The Bell Law Firm is expanding to the West to help those in Colorado with business and commercial litigation.

The Bell Law Firm's Colorado office is located in Highlands Ranch, Colo., which is just outside of Denver.

Rachel J. Goldfarb, the Colorado office's sole attorney, practices in  the areas of corporate and commercial law, with a focus of Colorado labor and employment law.

"Rachel is a very intelligent lawyer and a great person," said Harry F. Bell Jr., the managing partner of The Bell Law Firm, which is based in Charleston. "She is a great addition to our team."

Bell said Goldfarb, who was a stay-at-home mom, contacted him when she decided it was time to come back to work.

While Goldfarb is currently the only attorney at the Colorado office, Bell said he expects the practice will grow over the next few years.

"Highlands Ranch is a great environment," Bell said. "It's a booming area and it was a great opportunity for us to grow and expand."

Bell said technology has made it possible to expand so far away from the firm's Charleston location.

"We can answer the phones for the Colorado office here in West Virginia," he said. "We use the same database, can video chat and have teleconferences.

"There is so much you can do using technology."

Bell said the most important thing is to have good, reliable high-speed Internet.

"Technology makes a big difference," he said. "We can do so many things now that we could not do before. We can be in touch with the Colorado office, or an attorney in Columbus easily."

Goldfarb is highly skilled in research and writing on complex legal and factual issues, and has extensive experience in both transactional law and litigation.

She is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and numerous subsections of the bar.

Bell said business and commercial litigation can be complex and requires knowledge of the laws that govern both the public and private sectors.
