Healthcare provider hasn't paid answering service bill, suit alleges

NEW CUMBERLAND -- A communications company is suing for payment after providing answering services for a healthcare provider.

A.V. Lauttamus Communications Inc. filed suit May 16 in Hancock Circuit Court against Family First Healthcare PLLC.

According to the complaint, on April 29, 2010, the two parties named in the suit entered into a contract where A.V. Lauttamus would provide answering services for Family First Healthcare. On May 30, 2010, the plaintiff billed the defendant for services rendered in the amount of $6,628.28, according to the suit.

The defendant repaid some of the bill, but as of Aug. 27, 2011, a balance of $5,921.17 remained.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit.

It is represented by attorney Michael G. Simon of Frankovitch, Anetakis, Colantonio & Simon. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Ronald E. Wilson.
