RIPLEY -- A couple are suing a former employer after a workplace accident caused serious injury.
Rickey and Brenda Cadle filed a lawsuit May 30 in Jackson Circuit Court against Facemyer Resources L.L.C. and John Does 1-5, citing negligence.
The lawsuit states Rickey Cagle was ordered to walk on a thin metal roof that was in poor condition and that created an unsafe work condition ultimately leading to his injury.
The Cadles are seeking damages that exceed jurisdictional limits, plus court costs.
They are represented by Christopher Wallace of the Wallace Firm P.L.L.C. of Weirton. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Thomas C. Evans III.
