BECKLEY -- A Raleigh County woman is suing over claims she was induced into buying a damaged vehicle.

Brittany N. Williams filed a lawsuit June 17 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Greg Lilly Auto Sales Inc., citing fraud.

According to the complaint, Williams bought a 2002 Ford Explorer from the defendant Feb. 15, when she was assured by the defendant the vehicle had sustained no prior damage. Williams says she subsequently learned the vehicle had previously been damaged. The defendant is accused of material misrepresentation of facts, fraud and implied warranty of fitness for particular purpose.

Williams is seeking compensatory damages, interest and cost.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Anthony M. Salvatore of Hewitt & Salvatore PLLC in Beckley. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge H. L. Kirkpatrick.
