CHARLESTON -- NFL star and Kanawha County native Randy Moss hopes Dante DiTrapano, his former agent, gets back on his feet soon.
Moss, who was in Charleston last weekend for the opening of his Inta Juice juice bar in Kanawha City, also said he is sad to see DiTrapano going through his recent string of troubles.
"Dante was a dear friend," Moss told the Charleston Gazette. "I hope we can get back the DiTrapano family we knew."
DiTrapano is in the South Central Regional Jail awaiting an Aug. 23 federal trial on drug and firearms charges.
Moss, an All-Pro receiver now with the Oakland Raiders, dropped DiTrapano as his agent in April, shortly after DiTrapano and wife Teri were arrested in Florida on crack cocaine charges.
After a recent bond hearing for her husband, Teri DiTrapano criticized Moss, asking reporters sarcastically, "Anyone want a Randy Moss shirt?" before throwing said shirt into a garbage can.
"Everybody goes through things in their life," Moss told the Gazette about when asked about that incident.
