HUNTINGTON –A Huntington couple is suing two Cabell County residents over an August 2001 incident involving a dog attack.

In a lawsuit filed Dec. 8 in the Cabell Circuit Court, Bridget and David Woodyard claim their daughter Brooke Woodyard was attacked by a Dalmatian belonging to Bryan Lafon and Latoma Smith.

As a result, the Plaintiffs' daughter suffered a .5-centimeter laceration above her upper lip and a 2-inch gapping laceration under her left eye.

The suit alleges that Lafon and Smith practiced negligence by failing to control and maintain their dog.
