* Baldwin was driving on Casdorph Road in Sissonville when she alleges a horse owned and controlled by the defendant entered the highway and struck her. She demands a trial by jury and compensatory damages.

* Keys thought she had reached a $170,000 settlement with the defendant's over a dependant's benefits claim stemming from her husband's 1997 death from asbestos exposure. In January, they sent her a letter stating they were not willing to pay that settlement and offered $5,000.
