CHARLESTON -- Steve LaCagnin, a member of Jackson Kelly PLLC and Administrative Manager of the firm's Morgantown and Clarksburg offices, is on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's Second Expert Panel on Worksite Obesity Prevention in Atlanta on June 7.
The CDC is seeking critical feedback from 20 workplace wellness leaders throughout the United States. LaCagnin, a previous panel member will continue the dialogue with the CDC as it prepares a nationwide communication strategy and promotional plan with practical applications and products that will resonate with employers and employees to address obesity within the US workforce.
LaCagnin is one of the nation's leaders for workplace wellness and has served in positions of leadership with WELCOA in many capacities and serves as the current chairman of the Wellness Council of America Board and a member of the West Virginia Wellness Council of America.
LaCagnin spearheaded the Jackson Kelly wellness program that was launched in 1999. The Jackson Kelly wellness program has been nationally recognized, and earned four WELCOA awards –- three bronze (Charleston, Martinsburg and Morgantown) and one gold (Morgantown).
