Cabell couple sues over Hurricane traffic accident

WINFIELD – A Cabell County couple has sued two Putnam County women over a 2005 traffic accident.

Anita and Kevin Davis of Culloden filed a complaint against Lacellya B. Klein and Paulette F. Klein on Aug. 17 in Putnam Circuit Court.

Anita Davis claims she was driving her 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt near the intersection of W.Va. 34 and Sleepy Hollow Road in Hurricane on Sept. 22, 2005, when her vehicle was hit by a 1999 Mercury Sable driven by Lacellya Klein and owned by Paulette Klein.

Davis says she suffered neck and back pain and extreme trauma, as well as pain and suffering, mental anguish, extreme nervousness, anxiety, a loss of her ability to enjoy life, medical expenses, lost wages, annoyance, travel expenses and other damages.

Kevin Davis, her husband, is listed as a plaintiff and sues for loss of consortium, solace, society and companionship.

The couple seeks compensatory and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees, court costs, net economic losses and other relief.

Phillip M. Stowers is representing the Davis', and the case has been assigned to Circuit Judge O.C. "Hobby" Spaulding.
