The remodeled State Cultural Center opens its doors later this month. Recently, members of the media were invited to a sneak peek, led by the museum's Commissioner Randall Reid Smith.

This old company store is just part of the coal company owned town that museum visitors can walk through to catch a glimpse of what life was like for early miners and their families.

A Mastadon tooth is just one of the thousands of artifacts housed at the museum.
