Jon G. Carter filed a suit Feb. 15 in Cabell Circuit Court against Cedrick Lofton, an employee of Buffalo Wild Wings. The restaurant is also named as a defendant.

According to the suit, Carter was a customer at Buffalo Wild Wings on Feb. 24, 2007. He ate his meal and began to walk out of the restaurant. However, according to the suit, an intoxicated Lofton walked up behind Carter and "struck Mr. Carter violently on the rear of head with a barstool," the suit says.

The Huntington Police Department was called to the scene, but Lofton fled before an officer arrived.

Carter claims he suffered physical and mental pain and suffering, diminution of the capacity to enjoy life; annoyance and inconvenience, humiliation and embarrassment, lost wages, loss of household services, loss of capacity to earn wages and incurred expenses for household service and medical treatment.

According to the suit, Carter seeks compensatory and punitive damages from Lofton and Buffalo Wild Wings.
