* Refrigerated Express entered into a lease and service agreement for 13 vehicles in December 2007. Worldwide Equipment claims the company breached the terms of the lease and have damaged the leasing company in the amount of $252,800.96, plus rent, expenses, interests and costs until paid. The company is seeking damages in that amount.

Dale Guiler and Joy Guiler v. Steel of West Virginia, Inc. and Adams Trucking & Supply, Inc. and Joe Doe

* Guiler was at Steel of West Virginia to pick up a load of steel to transport to Canton, Ohio. He claims an employee of Adams Trucking was hired to load steel onto his truck with a forklift. According to the suit, when the forklift operator began to load the steel on his truck, a bundle fell from the forklift and struck him on the back of his legs and his left foot, knocking him to the ground. Guiler is suing the companies for negligence and is seeking compensatory damages.

Karen Clay, personal rep. of the estate of Margie Starr v. Cabell Huntington Hospital, Inc., Cabell Huntington Hospital Foundation, Inc., Mountain Health Network, Inc. and Mountain Regional Services, Inc.

*Starr was a patient at CHH during Summer 2006. During her admission, she was placed in a Posey vest restraint. The suit claims the hospital staff failed to care for her while she was in the restraint and Starr eventually developed skin breakdown, pressure ulcers, infections, dehydration and ultimately her death in October 2006. Starr's family is suing CHH for wrongful death and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
