PERSONNEL FILE: Dinsmore & Shohl announces two new partners in Charleston

CINCINNATI -– Dinsmore & Shohl is pleased to announce 11 new partners, including two at its Charleston office.

The 11 are Kevin P. Braig, Tip Depp, Melissa L. Korfhage, Mark A. McAndrew, Suzanne C. McNabb Grahmn N. Morgan, Brace R. Mullett, Ashley C. Pack, John D. Reed, Noah J. Stern and Catherine S. Wright.

Kevin P. Braig (Dayton) is a partner in the Environmental Practice Group and Litigation Department. Kevin's practice focuses on business litigation with emphasis on cases involving environmental issues of solid and hazardous waste, water, sludge, air, agriculture, and alternative energy. Kevin has experience representing clients in the agriculture, solid waste, manufacturing, automotive, banking and financial services, construction, insurance, internet and e-commerce, real estate, retail, technology, transportation, and utilities industries. Kevin earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law (1993) and his B.S. from Ohio University (1989).

Tip Depp (Louisville) is a partner in the Litigation and Corporate Departments. Tip's practice focuses on commercial litigation and administrative law, with an emphasis on telecommunications and public utility law. Tip frequently represents clients in commercial and regulatory disputes before state and federal courts, state public utility commissions, and other administrative and trade bodies. He also provides counsel on regulatory and general corporate matters affecting utilities (telecommunications, water, electric, gas, and sewage), financial institutions, and other regulated industries. Tip earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School (2000) and his B.A. from Tulane University (1996).

Melissa L. Korfhage (Cincinnati) is a partner in the Product Liability Practice Group. Melissa's practice is concentrated in mass tort and toxic tort litigation. She has experience as local and national counsel in complex litigation. She also has appellate experience in state and federal jurisdictions. She provides general litigation services to both corporate and non-profit organizations. Melissa is a contributing author to the legal treatise Drug Product Liability Reporter, and is the recipient of the YWCA Rising Star award for 2008. Melissa earned her J.D. from Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville (2000) and her B.A. from Bellarmine College (1997).

Mark A. McAndrew (Cincinnati) is a partner in the Corporate Department. Mark's practice includes general business and corporate law, health care and government contracts. He works with clients subject to regulation by various federal and state agencies on general corporate and commercial transaction matters, including fraud and abuse matters under the Medicare and Medicaid programs; FDA regulatory and compliance issues; and government contract procurement and bid protest matters. Mark earned his J.D. from Tulane Law School (1999) and his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame (1993).

Suzanne C. McNabb (Cincinnati) is a partner in the Corporate Department. Suzanne has broad experience in the area of business law; including general corporate counseling, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and other corporate transactions. Suzanne focuses on transactional, corporate and contract work for privately held companies, capital formation, capital restructuring, commercial finance and strategic business counseling. Her clients include corporate and partnership entities, private equity and venture capital investors and commercial lenders. Suzanne earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School (2000) and her B.A. from Trinity College (1994).

Grahmn N. Morgan (Lexington) is a partner in the Litigation Department. Grahmn has represented clients in complex matters since joining Dinsmore & Shohl LLP in 2002, including the defense of companies and their officers in class action, product liability, fiduciary, and contract litigation. He also has represented companies in several different state and federal courts, including federal multi-district litigation, injunctions, and appeals. Grahmn earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law (2001) and his B.S. from the University of Louisville (1998).

Brace R. Mullett (Charleston) is a partner in the Litigation Department. Brace is a civil litigator who advises clients on contractual and tortious claims. He represents a diverse client base, including coal companies and consumer goods companies, in matters related to workplace injury, product liability claims, and labor and employment disputes. Brace has experience in all aspects of fact and expert discovery, motions practice, settlement of complex litigation, and trial work. He has recently served as President of the Kanawha County Bar Association and currently serves on the Legal Aid of West Virginia Board of Directors. Brace earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law (2001) and his B.A. from Concord University (1998).

Ashley C. Pack (Charleston) is a partner in the Labor and Employment Law Department. In her practice in both West Virginia and Kentucky, she works with Human Resource Managers and in-house counsel to provide both labor and employment advice and litigation support. Ashley has litigated cases for employers covering all types of discrimination and wrongful discharge, non-competition agreements, and wage and hour issues. In addition to her labor and employment practice, Ashley practices Media Law. Ashley is a recipient of Dinsmore & Shohl's Alice Neeley Memorial Award. Ashley earned her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law (2001) and her B.A. from the University of Kentucky (1998).

John D. Reed (Dayton) is a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. John's practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution; patent infringement; clearance; validity and patentability studies; IP due diligence analysis; and client counseling in various intellectual property matters. His patent prosecution experience is concentrated in the mechanical and electromechanical arts. He is currently listed in The Best Lawyers in America®. John earned his J.D. from Northern Kentucky University, Chase College of Law (1997), his M.S. from the University of Dayton (1990), and his B.S. from the University of Cincinnati (1983).

Noah J. Stern (Cincinnati) is a partner in the Corporate Department. Noah's tax and estate planning practice involves advising individuals and businesses, including exempt organizations, corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies. Noah's experience includes federal individual, partnership, corporate tax planning, and state and local tax matters. His practice also covers business and regulatory aspects of health care law. He has been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyers® Rising Star. Noah earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law (1999), his M.A. from Indiana University (1996), and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley (1993).

Catherine S. Wright (Lexington) is a partner in the Labor and Employment Law Department. Catherine provides employment advice to Human Resource Managers and in-house counsel to provide both labor and employment advice and litigation support, as well as, training and on-site investigations. She defends both state and federal administrative complaints and litigates claims for employers involving all types of discrimination and wrongful discharge, the Family Medical Leave Act, and wage-and-hour issues. She also works extensively with nonprofit entities that receive federal funding and is experienced in the area of Education Law, representing several Boards of Education in employment related civil rights claims. Catherine is a recipient of Dinsmore & Shohl's Alice Neeley Memorial Award. Catherine earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law (1996) and her B.A. from the University of Kentucky (1991).
