CHARLESTON – An Elkview couple is suing McDonald's over alleged injuries caused by a slippery floor.
Sandra and Gary Hayes filed a lawsuit July 15 in Kanawha Circuit Court against McDonald's Corp. and McDonald's Restaurants of West Virginia.
The lawsuit says that on July 17, 2007, Sandra slipped on a wet floor in the Elkview McDonald's and fell, injuring her neck, back, shoulder and wrist.
The couple says the restaurant was negligent in not warning customers of the hazard.
Sandra is seeking damages for her injuries. Her husband is seeking damages for loss of consortium.
John Kennedy Bailey is representing the plaintiffs. The case is before Kanawha Circuit Judge Charles King.
