* Nutt performed three surgeries on Bonita Campbell in 2007, including an anterior and posterior colporrhaphy and implantation of the Bard Avaulta Anterior and Posterior BioSynthetic Support Systems on April 25; revision and repeat of anterior colporrhaphy, lysis of vaginal adhesions and reconstruction of the urethra on June 20; and closure of urethrovaginal fistula, placement of a transobturator urethral sling, repeat posterior colporrhaphy and perineum plasty on Sept. 10. Campbell claims as a result she has experienced mental and physical pain and suffering, sustained permanent injury, permanent and substantial physical deformity and loss of a bodily organ system. She is suing for compensatory and punitive damages.

Karen and Robert Estep vs. Cabell Huntington Hospital Inc.

* Karen Estep operated an industrial dishwashing machine at Cabell Huntington Hospital. According to the suit, the machine was attached to a conveyor belt that lifted to over a 90-degree angle and when in the upright position, Estep's responsibilities required to her work underneath it. Estep claims prior to August 2007 the safety latch that held the conveyor belt up allegedly broke and instead of replacing it, her supervisor had maintenance use a piece of wire to replace it. On Aug. 31, 2007, the wire allegedly broke and fell on Estep's head, causing her injuries. Estep is suing for special damages and general compensatory damages.
