Woman sues company, driver after accident

WINFIELD -— A woman is suing Gelco Corporation and an employee of the company after an accident that caused her injury.

Christy Little was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband at the intersection of W.Va. 25 and Interstate 64 when the accident occurred on June 6.

Little claims Joshua Fletcher, an employee of Gelco Corporation, carelessly and negligently operated a 2008 Peterbilt tractor truck in such a manner as to cause the vehicle to collide with her and her husband's vehicle, according to a complaint filed in Putnam Circuit Court on Oct. 14.

According to the suit, Little suffered severe, permanent and lasting injuries to several parts of her body; suffered and will continue to suffer future physical pain; mental anguish; loss of enjoyment of life and aggravation; annoyance and inconvenience; has incurred medical, hospital, doctor and other healthcare expenses in an amount exceeding $10,000 and is reasonably certain she will likely incur greater expenses in the future; and has suffered a loss of income.

Little is suing for a sum of money to compensate her for her losses and injuries. Harvey D. Peyton of Peyton Law Firm is representing her.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge O. C. "Hobby" Spaulding.
