* On Nov. 10, 2010, Melton purchased an auto part from the defendant. On Dec. 24, 2010, the auto part broke when Melton was traveling on Interstate 64, resulting in the left rear wheel of her vehicle coming off and her vehicle hitting a guard rail. Melton claims the auto part was defective. She is seeking compensatory damages.

* The plaintiffs claim when their children attended field trips at Safety Town, Maynard would place his hands inside their shirts and touch them. They claim when they complained to the Board of Education, it disregarded their complaints, which caused more children to be subjected to Maynard's molestation. They are seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.
