CHARLESTON -- A Shady Springs woman is suing Remington, LLC, after she claims her employment was terminated because of her gender.
Rebecca Farley was employed by the defendant as a purchasing clerk, according to a complaint filed June 17 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Farley claims the defendant discriminated against her because of her gender.
The defendant's actions violate the West Virginia Human Rights Act, according to the suit.
Farley claims the defendant also subjected her to a hostile work environment as a result of her gender, which also violated the West Virginia Human Rights Act.
Farley is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented by David S. Hart.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
