* Joseph Connelly was admitted to Potomac Valley Hospital on June 8, 2009, with a history of attempted drug overdose. During his 24-hour stay it was assumed that Connelly had an active prescription for methadone, despite an initial drug screen showing no methadone in his system when he was admitted. He was given 40 mg of methadone. He was transferred to Chestnut Ridge Hospital on June 9,2009, where he was given another 50 mg at 6:11 am and 11:34 am. When checked on by the nurse, it was documented Connolly was too sleepy to sit up and eat dinner. On June 10, 2009, Connolly was discovered in cardiac and respiratory arrest and never regained consciousness. It was concluded that his cause of death was anoxic encephalopathy due to methadone intoxication. Leslie Connolly is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for Connolly's wrongful death, pain and suffering, emotional distress, medical expenses, future lost wages, costs, expenses, pre- and post- judgment interest.

John Nuce and Dellslow Dari Delite vs. Erie Insurance Company

* Nuce is seeking judgment against Erie Insurance company claiming they failed to cover damages incurred by Dellslow Dairy Delite for spray and water damages incurred after a fire. Nuce claims Erie Insurance didn't provide a reasonable explanation for denying his claim even though the policy was paid to date. It was necessary for Nuce to borrow $15,000 to restore the business to its pre accident state. Nuce requests judgment on contractual and statutory grounds, annoyance and inconvenience, actual and punitive damages, attorney fees and costs and pre and post judgment interest.
