Lincoln Co. couple sues Mountain State RV, employee for car accident

WINFIELD -- A Lincoln County couple is suing Mountain State RV, LLC and one of its employees after they claim they were responsible for a car accident that caused them injuries.

On Sept. 17, 2009, Arthur Dean Adkins was operating a 1999 Pontiac Trams Am on Route 19 in Hurricane, according to a complaint filed Sept. 21 in Putnam Circuit Court.

As the same time, Jason William Noffsinger was operating a motor vehicle owned by Mountain State RV, his employer, in a careless, reckless and negligent manner, causing his vehicle to collide with Adkins' vehicle, according to the suit.

Adkins claims the defendants' negligence, he sustained severe permanent personal and bodily injuries.

As a result of the defendants' actions, Adkins was caused to incur bills for medical care, transportation, attention and treatment, according to the suit.

Adkins claims he also suffered a loss of capacity to enjoy life.

As a result of the defendants' actions, Adkins' wife, Cathy L. Adkins, was caused to suffer a loss of consortium from her husband, according to the suit.

The Adkinses are seeking compensatory damages. They are being represented by C. Joseph Stevens.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge O.C. Spaulding.
