Kanawha County gets two new probation officers

Bloom

CHARLESTON -– Kanawha County's Chief Circuit Judge Louis H. "Duke" Bloom swore in two new adult probation officers Feb. 1.

Lilla M. Adkins of St. Albans formerly worked at the Kanawha County Day Report Center for four years. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri.

Dustin Meadows of Mount Hope formerly worked for two years as a parole officer for the Division of Corrections in Beckley. He has a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Marshall University.

The officers replace two people who became Sex Offender Intensive Supervision Officers.

"I am very much impressed with these new officers," Bloom said. "One has a great deal of experience with the Division of Corrections and the other one is a former employee of the Day Report Center. We will really be stepping up a notch in our enforcement of probation."
