CHARLESTON – The West Virginia Chiefs of Police executive board has voted to endorse Robin Davis's re-election to the Supreme Court.
"Robin Davis has always been a supporter of law enforcement," the Chiefs of Police executive board concluded in issuing the endorsement. "She doesn't always rule the way we want, but we know she always rules according to the law. She is accessible, maintains the highest integrity on the bench and is truly concerned about law enforcement issues."
"The West Virginia Chiefs of Police have earned the respect of West Virginians, and I am truly humbled by their endorsement," Davis said. "I understand the issues they and their members face both as public servants and as citizens of our great state, and I am proud to accept this demonstration of support for my work on the bench."
This is the sixth endorsement Davis has earned from public safety organizations; she is also endorsed by the Professional Fire Fighters of West Virginia, the West Virginia State Troopers' Association, the West Virginia Sheriffs' Association, the West Virginia Deputy Sheriffs' Association and the West Virginia State Fraternal Order of Police.
Davis, who has served on the Supreme Court since 1996, is running for her second full term on the court. She is currently the senior-most Justice on the court.
