PERSONNEL FILE: Spilman's Atkinson recognized by Super Lawyers

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -– The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle has announced that Nathan B. Atkinson, member in the firm's Winston-Salem, N.C. office, was recently recognized by Super Lawyers.

After receiving excellent reviews from his peers, he was named to the "Rising Stars 2012" list for Environmental Litigation.

The objective of the Super Lawyers selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys from more than 70 practice areas that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and consumers in the search for legal counsel. Polling, research and selection are performed by Law & Politics, a publication of Key Professional Media, Inc. In addition to environmental litigation, Atkinson's practice encompasses complex toxic tort litigation, chemical exposure and water contamination litigation, and complex multi-party cases. Atkinson is admitted to practice in North Carolina and West Virginia. He received his bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University and his law degree from Mercer University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Forsyth County Environmental Affairs Board.
