Couple blames Advanced Communications for car accident

Carwreck

CHARLESTON -- A woman and her husband are suing Advanced Communications, Inc., after a car accident caused her injuries.

Jonathon T. Lane, an employee of Advanced Communications, Inc., was also named as a defendant in the suit.

On March 5, Brandy Lynn Messer was operating a 2011 Volvo Station Wagon when Lane, who was operating a 2005 Ford Ranger pickup truck owned by Advanced Communications, caused a vehicle accident, according to a complaint filed Sept. 24 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Messer claims Lane’s negligence caused her to sustain great pain and suffering of mind and body; incurred medical expenses; loss of income; and the inability to attend to the ordinary and normal affairs enjoyed before the accident.

Lane was acting in the scope of his employment with Advanced Communications at the time of the accident, according to the suit.

Messer and her husband, Brian A. Messer, are seeking compensatory damages. They are being represented by Thomas P. Maroney.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
