LOGAN - A Logan County woman is suing over claims that an unsafe shopping cart at a Walmart caused her injury.
Bridgette Ellis filed a lawsuit on July 30 in the Circuit Court of Logan County against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., citing negligence and premise liability.
Ellis says in May 2013, she suffered serious injuries when a shopping cart sliced her foot open at the Walmart store located in Kanawha County at the Southbridge Shopping Center.
The plaintiff is seeking an undetermined amount in damages. She is being represented by Charleston attorney D. Adrian Hoosier II.
