BECKLEY - A Beaver resident is suing over claims he was injured in a workplace accident.
Jarrod Mullins filed a personal injury lawsuit Oct. 8 in the Circuit Court of Raleigh County against Pine Ridge Coal Co. LLC, Green Leaf Services of Beckley LLC and Johnny Bowyer.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff was working as a laborer for Defendant Bowyer, who was a subcontractor for Green Leaf Services of Beckley, to install a roof at Pine Ridge Coal Co.
While the plaintiff was working, he fell 30 feet off the roof, sustaining serious injuries that required four surgeries, according to the complaint.
The complaint states that the defendants never filed an official accident report in order to deliberately obstruct justice and to deny plaintiff his rights.
Mullins is seeking an unspecified amount of damages, plus attorney's fees. He is being represented by Beckley attorney John D. Wooton of Wooton, Wooton & Davis PLLC.
