Charleston woman sues Princess Nails & Spa for nail infection

CHARLESTON – A Charleston woman is suing Princess Nails & Spa after she claims her daughter suffered an infection due to a manicure performed at the salon.

Cuong Khac Nghi was also named as a defendant in the suit.

On April 18, Audrey Moles sustained an injury while getting a manicure at Princess that was performed by Nghi, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Joey Moles claims her daughter suffered a severe and life-threatening infection in one of her hands.

Audrey Moles' infection required numerous visits to various medical professionals, resulting in her finger being surgically lanced on more than one occasions to remove the infectious fluids, the loss of her nail and several visits to a plastic surgeon, according to the suit.

Joey Moles claims the defendants' actions were negligent and caused her daughter permanent injuries.

The defendants' knew or should have known that negligent and reckless handling and storing of tools and equipment used to perform Audrey Moles' manicure could result in serious injury, according to the suit.

Joey Moles is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented by Joel Baker of Baker & Honaker PLLC.
