Patron blames Fountain Place Wal-Mart for injuries

Walmart

LOGAN -- A woman is suing Wal-Mart for injuries sustained at its Fountain Place store.

Rose Thompson Johnson filed a lawsuit on Dec. 3 in Logan Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. alleging that she was injured on the company's property due to the negligence of its employees.

Johnson alleges that on Dec. 17, 2013 she was injured when she slipped and fell on debris in the Wal-Mart at Fountain Place Shopping Center. Johnson alleges her injuries were caused by the store's negligence, and that her injuries could have been prevented if proper security measures were taken.

Johnson is seeking judgment against Wal-Mart in an amount that will fully and adequately compensate her, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest, court costs, attorneys' fees, and such other relief. The case is being heard by Judge William Witten. Johnson is represented by D. Adrian Hoosier II of The Hoosier Law Firm in Charleston.
