HUNTINGTON — A personal representative of a deceased woman's estate is suing Chateau Grove Senior Living in a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Pamela Mannix, as personal representative of the estate of Louise Salvatore filed a complaint on May 26, in the Cabell Circuit Court against Chateau Grove Senior Living alleging that the nursing facility failed to provide a safe living environment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, between November 20, 2013 and December 26, 2014, decedent Louise Salvatore was a resident at defendant's nursing facility. During that period, decedent was caused to suffer multiple falls resulting in personal injuries, that ultimately led to her death on February 14, 2015. The plaintiff holds Chateau Grove Senior Living responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly staff its facility, failed to provide proper supervision, and failed to provide basic needs and assistance.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for all damages, attorney's fees and costs and such other relief that the court sees to fit. She is represented by Andrew L. Paternostro of The Bell Law Firm PLLC in Charleston.
