BECKLEY — A Greenbriar County man is suing a Virginia tractor trailer owner and driver, alleging their negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Robert Ady filed a lawsuit Sept. 22 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Donald W. Vincent and Arnold Transportation Systems Inc., alleging Arnold Transportation negligently entrusted its tractor trailer to Vincent.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 24, 2015, Ady was driving a 2013 Ford F550 owned by SX Transportation Inc. on Interstate Highway 64 in Raleigh County when Vincent caused the tractor trailer he was operating to strike the plaintiff's vehicle.

As a result, the suit says, Ady suffered a severe injury and incurred medical expenses of $44,513.01 and lost income of more than $80,000.

The plaintiff alleges Vincent failed to maintain control of his vehicle and failed to keep in his proper lane.

Ady seeks trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages, attorney fees, court costs and expenses and all other general relief. He is represented by attorney Christopher M. Davis of Wooton, Davis, Hussell & Ellis PLLC in Beckley.
