Aron Security accused of not paying wages to former security guard

BECKLEY – A security guard has filed a class-action lawsuit against his former employer alleging he is owed wages that were not paid.

Anthony W. Bragg, individually and on behalf of those similarly situated, filed a complaint on Nov. 18 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Aron Security Inc. alleging that the former employer violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 19, 2015, he auit his employment with the defendant. He alleges that he has not received all his wages due. The plaintiff holds Aron Security Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff all wages he was owed within the required period as mandated by WPCA.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award for all damages and remedies provided by law, costs of litigation, attorney's fees and all other legal and/or equitable relief. He is represented by Phillip Estep, Todd S. Bailess and Rodney A. Smith of Bailess Smith PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge John A. Hutchison.
