CHARLESTON – Kanawha Institute for Social Research & Action is suing Sugar & Spice Pastry Shop after it claims it failed to pay back a loan of more than $20,000.

KISRA claims the defendants owe the remaining balance of $20,200.60.

The plaintiff has attempted to collect the remaining balance, according to the suit.

KISRA is seeking to collect the remaining balance of the loan, plus legal fees and court costs. It is representing itself.

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Jennifer Bailey.
