Worker accuses former employer of not paying proper wages

KEYSER — A Mineral County man is suing his former employer, alleging violation of workers compensation acts.

Travis L. Dolly filed a complaint March 16 in Mineral Circuit Court against United Disposal Service Inc. alleging violation of the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act.

According to the complaint, as a result of the defendant's unlawful actions, Dolly has suffered financial losses and serious emotional trauma. The plaintiff alleges United Disposal Service willingly failed to pay him the statutory minimum wage rate required by law.

Dolly seeks trial by jury, unpaid wages, statutory and punitive damages, interest, attorney fees, court costs and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney Harley O. Stagger of Staggers & Staggers in Keyser.
