WAYNE — A Huntington property owner is suing a Wayne County agency, alleging its negligence caused a sewage backup on the plaintiff's land.

Mark A. Tomblin filed a complaint March 2 in Wayne Circuit Court against the Northern Wayne County Public Service District, alleging the district negligently damaged his property with sewage.

According to the complaint, on June 8, 2015, Tomblin's property at 2568 Goodwill Road was severely damaged by the defendant causing raw sewage to back into his home. As a result of the defendant's conduct, the suit says, Tomlin was forced to spend money to repair the damaged property.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed and refuses to repair the damage to the property.

Tomblin seeks a trial by jury, damages of more than $10,000, plus all court costs and expenses. Tomblin is representing himself.
