HUNTINGTON — A Huntington property owner is suing a tenant, alleging breach of lease agreement in failing to pay.

Huntington High Limited Partnership filed a complaint March 27 in Cabell Circuit Court against Arts Resources for the Tri-State Inc., alleging the tenant failed and refused to settle its default in payment.

According to the complaint, on April 27, 2015, Huntington High entered into a lease agreement with Arts Resources, in which the plaintiff would provide theater and auditorium facilities for the production of the defendant's theatrical works and classrooms for the total amount of $126,000, a monthly payment of $3,500.

The suit says since July 1, 2016, Huntington High has not received any monthly payments. The plaintiff alleges Arts Resources has failed and refused to make monthly payments as called for under the agreement.

Huntington High seeks trial by jury, damages of $31,500, plus interest and costs of court. It is represented by attorney Charles W. Peoples of Huntington.
