WHEELING — A Wheeling motorist is suing State Farm, alleging breach of insurance contract.

Michael Hunter filed a complaint March 28 in Ohio Circuit Court against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, alleging failure to fulfill its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, on March 28, 2015, Hunter suffered serious and permanent injuries due to an auto accident in Wheeling caused by another motorist. At the time of the accident, the suit says, the vehicle Hunter was driving had applicable under-insured motor vehicle coverage with State Farm.

The plaintiff alleges State Farm failed to settle Hunter's under-insured motorist coverage.

Hunter seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages, interest, court costs and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney Ronald W. Zavolta of Zavolta Law Office in Wheeling.
