Former employee alleges age discrimination at Williams Energy Resources

Wrongful term 07

MOUNDSVILLE — A former employee is suing Williams Energy Resources LLC, Nicholous Munoz, Jeremie Detling, Casey Tominack and Tylor Kolojay, for alleged age discrimination and wrongful termination.

Michelle Knight filed a complaint in Marshall Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants discharged her from employment due to her age.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was fired in May 2015. At the time, Knight had thought to distribute hats that contained her employer's name at a cattle show in Marshall County. At first, her employer thought it was a good, but her supervisors later changed their minds. Knight alleges that she did not distribute the hats. She was allegedly fired a few days later, and her employer reportedly listed the hat distribution as one of the reasons for her termination.

The plaintiff also alleges that Kolojay had made "disparaging" comments about her age. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly terminating her employment based on her age.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief this court deems just. She is represented by Nicholas A. Wininsky of Wininsky Law Offices in Pittsburgh, Pa.
