PRINCETON – A Raleigh County woman has filed suit against a restaurant owner after falling in the parking lot.

Ellen Orender filed a complaint on July 11 in the Mercer Circuit Court against Randolph Restaurant Group Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was a patron at the defendant's Bojangle's Restaurant on July 12, 2015, in Princeton. She alleges the parking lot was still under construction and that she tripped over an unmarked, hidden and camouflaged curb. She alleges she struck her head and nose on the concrete parking lot and was injured.

The plaintiff holds Randolph Restaurant Group Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly mark the curb.

The plaintiff seeks damages in the amount of more than $74,000. She is represented by Ryan J. Flanigan of Flanigan Law Office in Princeton. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge William J. Sadler.
