CHARLESTON – A man is suing Central Transport after he claims it wrongfully terminated his employment and discriminated against him. James Alex Subrick was employed as a truck driver in Dunbar for the defendant. During his employment, he consistently performed his duties in a satisfactory manner and met the reasonable expectations of the defendant, according to a complaint filed Oct. 20 in Kanawha Circuit Court and removed to federal court.

CHARLESTON – A woman is suing Select Specialty Hospital-Charleston Inc. after she claims her employment was wrongfully terminated. Debbie Dea Basham was hired by the defendant in 2002 and throughout her employment, she performed all her duties in a satisfactory manner, according to a complaint filed Sept. 4 in Kanawha Circuit Court and removed to federal court. Kirkpatrick was hired by Bob Evans Farms in 1983 and remained with the company for 32 years, working his way up to a management position, according to a complaint filed in Monongalia Circuit Court.

MORGANTOWN – Retired Ohio Circuit Judge Arthur Recht will preside over a lawsuit involving a woman being sued by 30 of her neighbors for housing chickens on her property. MORGANTOWN – Thirty individuals are suing a woman in their neighborhood for having a chicken coop on her property that they claim is a nuisance.
