CHARLESTON – A Charleston attorney has given notice to state officials that he is challenging the state’s guidelines that would cut the amount attorneys are paid for their time spent in court-appointed cases. Anthony Majestro of Powell & Majestro sent notice on behalf of attorneys and law firms that take court-appointed cases. BECKLEY – A Fayette County attorney is suing Advantage Boats Inc. after he claims he unknowingly purchased a defective and damaged boat. On Aug. 25, Anthony M. Salvatore phoned the defendant’s dealership with an interest in purchasing a reliable and durable motor boat, according to a complaint filed in Raleigh Circuit Court. Salvatore is an attorney with Hewitt & Salvatore PLLC based in Fayetteville.
