CHARLESTON -- The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle has announced that attorney Elizabeth A. Benedetto was elected as a member effective Jan. 1.
Her law practice focuses on banking and finance law, corporate law and business law.
Benedetto previously served as in-house regional counsel for a multi-state financial institution, in which role she was responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on day-to-day bank operations, commercial lending, litigation, and governmental and legislative matters.
Leveraging this in-house experience, Benedetto regularly represents lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions, general business transactions and troubled loan workouts. She also reviews and documents swaps and hedging transactions.
Benedetto earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, her graduate degree, magna cum laude, and her law degree from West Virginia University. She is admitted to practice in West Virginia.
