Used car seller sued by customer

FAYETTEVILLE -- A couple is suing a used car seller after experiencing problems with a car purchased there.


FAYETTEVILLE -- A couple is suing a used car seller after experiencing problems with a car purchased there.

Dennis and Mary Dorsey filed a lawsuit Dec. 23 in Fayette Circuit Court against Crossroads Chevrolet LLC and TD Auto Finance LLC, citing fraud and misrepresentation, deceptive acts or practices, breach of duty of good faith, unconscionability and negligence.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 7, 2012, the Dorseys purchased a used 2011 GMC Sierra from Crossroads Chevrolet, partly financed by TD Auto Finance, and later learned that the car had been involved and seriously damaged in an accident while with the previous owner.

The Dorseys are seeking a refund on the purchase of the car as well as all attorney fees and court costs. They are being represented in the case by attorney Kristina T. Whiteaker of The Grubb Law Group.
