BECKLEY -- A woman is suing Chase after they continued calling her home seeking debt collection.

Charlotte J. O'Brien filed a lawsuit Dec. 27 in Raleigh Circuit Court against JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A., citing violations of the West Virginia Consumer Credit and Protection Act, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

According to the complaint, the defendant began to engage in the collection of debt from O'Brien through the use of telephone calls and written communications. O'Brien alleges the defendant harassed her while attempting to collect the debt and continued to call her after she informed the defendant she was represented by an attorney.

O'Brien is seeking an undisclosed amount of damages. She is being represented in the case by attorney Paul O. Clay Jr.
