Man says he slipped, fell in oil puddle at convenience store

BECKLEY -- A man is suing a store after falling in an oil puddle.


BECKLEY -- A man is suing a store after falling in an oil puddle.


Joshua McClung filed a lawsuit Feb. 28 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Little General Store Inc., citing negligence.

The lawsuit states McClung was in the store at 3133 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley on July 24, when he slipped in oil spilled near the front door. McClung claims he suffered injuries including a fractured right knee and will require ongoing medical treatment.

He is seeking a judgment adequate to compensate him as deemed by the court in a jury trial. He is being represented by Larry O. Ford of Meyer, Ford, Glasser and Radman P.L.L.C.
